  • Wates corporate governance principles for large private companies - The Financial Reporting Council has published new corporate governance principles designed for large private companies. The Wates Principles are intended to be the key code for companies that are required to publish a Statement of Corporate Governance Arrangements for periods beginning on or after 1 January 2019.
  • FRC consults on revisions to the Stewardship Code - The Financial Reporting Council is consulting on a revised Stewardship Code. The new Stewardship Code will set greater expectations for effective investor stewardship, improving its value to stakeholders and the wider society. It is being introduced to reflect the changes in the investor landscape and requirements for stewardship since the last revision in 2012.
