As a NED, you play a vital role in the governance and success of a business. However, regulatory requirements and the pace of change can make the role challenging, and combined with sharper scrutiny from the media and the public and an increasingly complicated governance landscape, NEDs can really feel the pressure of responsibility.

As one of the UK’s leading auditors and professional services firms, we work with Non-Executive Directors every day, from organisations in the UK and around the world. That’s why we have created the NED Programme – to share our expertise with NEDs and aspiring NEDs, unpicking the role of Non-Executive boards and audit committees, corporate strategy, corporate governance and providing you with expert guidance on technical and regulatory updates.

Our Non-Executive Director Network is a valuable source of information and networking opportunities for NEDs, and offers you:

Peer Networks

The NED Network is supported by a suite of specialist initiatives aligned to key sectors and governance responsibilities. These include the Financial Services NED Programme, the Audit Committee Chair (ACC) Programme, the Not for Profit and Charity Trustees Programme, and dedicated Higher Education and Company Secretary communities. Each initiative operates within the broader NED Network while delivering focused, role-relevant insight and enhanced value through tailored content and peer engagement.
